Overview

Fast-growing healthcare services organization is seeking a high-level Director of Business Development to help drive continued expansion across the skilled nursing industry.

 

The company partners with nursing homes and post-acute operators nationwide by placing nurse practitioners and advanced practice providers directly into facilities. With operations already spanning many states and strong existing market penetration, the organization is now focused on strategic long-term growth through relationship-driven business development.

 

This is not a transactional sales role. The ideal candidate is someone who understands how to build trust over time, navigate ownership groups and operators, and create lasting industry relationships that eventually convert into business opportunities.

 

The role will work closely with senior leadership and ownership groups across the nursing home space, including both independent operators and larger portfolios.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with nursing home owners, operators, and leadership teams
  • Drive new business opportunities through strategic networking and industry presence
  • Identify partnership opportunities, including management relationships, strategic alignments, and joint ventures
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
  • Maintain consistent outreach and follow-up with prospective partners over extended sales cycles
  • Collaborate with leadership on growth strategy and market expansion initiatives
  • Track pipeline activity and relationship development efforts within CRM systems
  • Serve as a trusted industry resource rather than a high-pressure salesperson
  • Help expand footprint within existing markets while identifying opportunities in new regions
 

Ideal Background

  • Business development experience within the nursing home, post-acute, long-term care, or healthcare services space
  • Existing relationships with nursing home ownership groups and operators strongly preferred
  • Strong emotional intelligence and relationship-building ability
  • Comfortable with slower-burn consultative sales cycles
  • Ability to build credibility with sophisticated healthcare operators
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong follow-through
  • Experience navigating multi-state healthcare environments preferred
  • Comfortable traveling as needed for meetings and conferences
