A growing ABA healthcare company is seeking a Director of Compliance to oversee operational compliance, investigations, audit readiness, and compliance implementation across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone highly detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working across departments to ensure policies, regulations, and payer requirements are properly understood and implemented. The Director of Compliance will work closely with leadership, department heads, clinicians, outside counsel, and operational teams to identify risks, manage investigations, and help maintain strong compliance standards across the company.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the organization’s compliance function

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures

  • Interpret regulatory, payer, and operational requirements and help implement them across the organization

  • Conduct and oversee investigations related to employee conduct, documentation concerns, billing issues, and other compliance matters

  • Partner with outside counsel on investigations and regulatory matters

  • Support responses to audits, documentation requests, and regulatory reviews

  • Review internal processes and identify compliance risks and operational gaps

  • Work closely with operations, clinical, HR, and executive leadership teams

  • Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement

  • Monitor industry and regulatory changes and recommend appropriate actions

Qualifications

  • Experience in compliance, investigations, employee relations, audit, risk management, healthcare operations, or a related field

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex issues from investigation through resolution

  • Strong judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to build relationships while maintaining accountability

  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential matters

  • Ability to work onsite in Lakewood, NJ

Preferred Experience

  • Healthcare, behavioral health, ABA, managed care, insurance, or regulatory experience

  • Human Resources or Employee Relations experience

  • Clinical background such as BCBA, LCSW, SLP, RN, or related credential

  • Experience with audits, investigations, documentation reviews, or compliance programs

  • Experience working with outside counsel and regulatory agencies
